(Forum 1-> Babel Tower-> Mercia: I need another clarification about war and justice, Seite 16)
Hi everyone.
Here is the answer I gave to Ruysandez's last ticket on the assistance center.
Zitat:
We, at Celsius, have the following rule : If you can pay the fine, with the money you have in your inventory, in your house, or by selling the items you have in your inventory or in your house, then the fine is not illegal, regarding the charter of justice.
So, if I refer to the accusation act of the first trial you got, you were prosecuted for creating an illegal army. This is something different from "attacking the county", so the sentence won't have to be symbolic. And as I told you on december 18th, you had enough money and goods to pay the fine, so it wasn't abusive.
We also have this rule : If you are killed in battle, you can be prosecuted for attacking the county, but the sentence can only be symbolic.
This rule does only run for "being in an army and attacking the county", if your character made some other offenses to local laws, then he can have a regular trial.
You did not mention being killed by any army, so this rule does not apply for you. And as I told you in your second ticket : Attacking a queen is a serious crime, I think it is worth a death penalty as it can be seen as an attempted regicide or something like that, which was considered as one of the heaviest crimes in the medieval times.
About the last part of your ticket, you talked about a "secret votation" and referred to an announcement made by Eddward on december 18th. "Should they make the grave mistake of committing a crime within our borders within that time frame, they will be executed by our Courts." => This does not seem to respect the charter of justice. So if something like that happens, please contact us. You already have been punished once for attacking Mercia, this would be double punishment and every infraction should get a proportionate sentence.
To summarize, for this "Mercia vs. Spanish folks" case, please write to the assistance center :
- If you were killed by an army and then sentenced for attacking the county, if the penalty was not symbolic (1 pound fine or a banishment) ;
- If you were sentenced to a fine that you cannot pay, even by combining all your money and goods (and don't try to fool us, we have pretty good tools to calculate this for us) ;
- If you were sentenced to death on the base of this december 18th edict.
